2. Give - When water is clean and plentiful, people often drink, irrigate crops and wash their clothes and bodies with little thought. In many places, though, water is scarce. Your gift helps provide water so people will have enough to drink, enough to wash, enough to grow food and enough to share.

4. Advocate - Water is a sacred gift connecting all life. But it’s a gift under threat throughout the world, and so is free and equal access to it. It is essential for Christians to work together to promote the significance of the right to water and to point to alternative ways of living, which are more respectful of ecological processes and more sustainable in the longer term. MCC encourages Christians to ask their governments to give priority to and allocate adequate funds and other resources for programs designed to provide access to clean water in all communities and also promote development of proper sanitation systems.
