May/June: Advocating for True Security
Church and Peace, an ecumenical European group, admits that
human security is a legitimate human need, but that, “the
quest for absolute security and invulnerability fosters a climate
of fear and inevitably undermines the . . . the security it
seeks to defend.”

for absolute security. Sadly, this militarized response has
not made Americans -- or the rest of the world -- feel safer.
