One of the best ways someone who has experienced trauma can heal is by helping others to heal. This strengthens the individual and the community.
Hafrida Hanum, a tsunami survivor, hosts a radio show that brings stories of trauma and tools for healing to the airwaves, helping to knit together a social fabric torn by the tsunami. The radio show is a project of Forum for Humanity and Peoplehood (FKPI). This is a network of three MCC partner organizations in Indonesia: Solo Interfaith Forum, the theology department of Satya Wacana Christian University of Salatiga and Duta Wacana Christian University Peace Center in Yogjakarta.
