Homeschoolers Erica and Zachary like to volunteer once a week with their mom, brother and sister at the Et Cetera Shop in Freeman, SD. Erica says, "We love to volunteer at the thrift shop. Usually we take care of the toys but today we priced Christmas Dresses." Zachary says "almost every week we find something to buy. We get to meet a lot of people here." VolunteerThroughout the binational network of 108 shops, thousands of volunteers as well as paid managers help with the day-to-day operations. Volunteers are needed to sort and price items, work with customers and contribute to creative "thrifty to nifty" ideas such as recycling no longer useful items of fabric, wool, and wood into blankets and garden projects.
