In northern Guatemala, Saturday schools such as this one provide basic education for students who can't attend school during the week or weren't able to study when they were younger. 

A literacy program in Chiquixji, Guatemala teaches adults such as Fidelina Ba Tiul how to read and write in Spanish and K'ekchi.
