Noah's Ark Kindergarten in Belgrade welcomes children from all of the country's major ethnic and religious groups. View MapMCC in SerbiaEurope Community DevelopmentIn Belgrade, MCC supports many projects in the areas of health and education. In Belgrade, MCC partner Bread of Life (BoL) runs a homecare program which works with people with mental and physical disabilities, the sick and the elderly. Currently, two MCC workers are serving at the Novi Sad Theological College (NSTC). One is a development manager and the other is a professor. NSTC welcomes Christians from different backgrounds and denominations. MCC also supports some of the country's younger students through its support for Noah's Ark kindergarten. The Christian kindergarten is a Global Family sponsored project and welcomes children from many different backgrounds. PeaceThe Center for Interreligious Dialogue and the Center for Nonviolent Action, both based in Belgrade, received grants from MCC in 2004. This center is one of the few places where religious leaders meet together on an ongoing basis. They also support public events with the theme of religion and peace. |
