MCC presents an evening of reflection and discussion about the Tar Sands. This major economic, environmental and social phenomenon is expected to cross the Albertan border and into Saskatchewan. But what is really happening in the Athabasca area, and how is the Church to respond? Come and join the conversation.

Featuring:
Abe Janzen, executive director of Mennonite Central Committee Alberta, will be reflecting on his recent trip to Northern Alberta with KAIROS, an ecumenical peace organisation.

Screening of the short documentary, "Downstream."

MCC SK is looking for young adults to be involved in peer mentorship with participants in MCC’s IVEP program.

The International Volunteer Exchange Program (IVEP) is a vocational and cultural exchange program. International young adults between the ages of 18 - 30 from 30 countries, come to Canada and the United States for one year, from early August until the following July.

Keeping Tabs is a new monthly MCCS newsletter for youth and young adults. It includes updates on MCCS youth programs, announcements for related events, and provides other suggestions for how to get involved. It is available for download in PDF format.

Living Stones: Listening & Learning Tour

Who: A tour by the Executive Director, Claire Ewert Fisher, together with an MCCS Board member to all constituency groups.

Purpose: To listen to and learn from each other how God is at work in our province.

Why: So that together we will become living stones, building up "a spiritual home...acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." (I Peter 2:5)
