John in Egypt Mountain Top ExperiencesEgypt A highlight for me was traveling to and climbing up Mount Sinai with a group of several other people in my language class. It was quite something to be hiking up that famous mountain at 1 o'clock in the morning with the moonlight as our only guide. I slept at the top of the mountain for several hours and then awoke to one of the most amazing sunrises I have ever seen in the mountains. This experience, although extremely exhausting, was exhilarating as I found myself climbing up the same mountain Moses had been on thousands of years ago. The morning sunrise was just another glimpse of God's glory and beauty He reveals in this world. |
