My work at the Buena Tierra grows to be more and more of a blessing everyday. I thought I was falling in love with my preschoolers at the beginning, but now my love for them seems to be even deeper and stronger than I ever expected. I'm trying to let my heart just love and not think about the goodbyes at the end of the year. Little Azucena has the most beautiful smile in the school and eyes that are constantly watching me hoping that I will show her my approval. She's constantly reaching out for my hand and wrapping her arms around my legs to give me a hug. Then there's Ramiro who is such a charmer. He has the most adorable expressions and is another one who lights up when I tell him he's done a good job. Everyday I feel like I open a million gifts from God. From the moment the kids enter in the morning and I receive 36 little kisses and hugs to the beauty of their smiles and surprisingly even their tears are often a gift because then I get to hold them and hug them and be there to wipe away their tears.
