About the Author

Andre Gingerich Stoner has been serving with MCC in Krastel, West Germany since 1984. He and his wife, Cathy Stoner, are currently working to build bridges of friendship and understanding between U.S. military personnel stationed in the area and local Germans working for peace. Andre is from Harrisonburg, Va., and Cathy is from Lancaster, Pa.
