Water is lifeWater is life. A person can survive for weeks without food, but will die in a few days without water. Yet for many families around the world, this basic need is out of reach.
Running the Boston Marathon for waterThis spring, former MCC Brazil worker Orlando Schmidt is raising awareness about the worldwide need for water and advocating for funds to help make a difference. Schmidt, who now lives in Abbottsford, British Columbia, is running in the Boston Marathon this April — and using that opportunity to raise awareness and money for MCC water projects in Brazil. MCC British Columbia is encouraging churches to set up running or walking events to raise funds for the project through the spring and summer. Learn more about Schmidt's effort — video clips and posters to download.
