We here in Bangladesh are engaged in all of that kind of work (all of the above), and we are offering you an opportunity to learn first hand what is involved. You will meet and learn from seasoned veterans of the development scene. You will see how projects are created and implemented. You will get a taste for what it is like to live far from home, and work in a foreign context (its fascinating and exciting, by the way).

You will get the opportunity to meet with and learn from people of a completely different culture. The people of Bangladesh are wonderfully hospitable, and they are as curious to learn about you as you will be to learn about them. Now's the chance to make friends on the other side of the world!

The poverty in Bangladesh is often shocking and extreme. You will get a glimpse into life in Bangladesh that you can only get first hand. This will give you a more global perspective on your life and allow you to reflect on the responsibilities that we all ahve as Christians in an increasingly interconnected world.

You will see a program site with our MCC's global family program, a child/community sponsorship program that focuses on education and health services. You will be involved in some of the daily activities of the children, such as teaching English (an incredibly valuable tool for Bangladeshi's) and having lots of fun.

See the vast differences in living standards and life styles between urban and rural settings.

You will have the opportunity to meet with and learn about people who adhere to three of the world's major religions; Islam, Hinduism, and Christianity.
