It is with the ease and beauty that music brings into our lives that all will hear, see and feel the culture of another. So it is in keeping with this year’s theme that we would encourage all those who play an instrument, like to sing, compose music, or simply enjoy listening, to bring your talents with you!
This year’s highlights will include:
- hand-drum making workshop, filled with songs, stories and teachings
- evening campfires and concerts that will show-case the musical talents of both community members and visitors.
- an invitation that will have you enjoy a surprise guest performer.
- blueberry picking, swimming, canoeing and much more

This annual camping event began in 1995 and has seen the combined passions of Mattagami First Nation, and the Mennonite Central Committee, working to better understand each other’s culture, and invited others to do the same. The past 10 years have seen more than 300 visitors come to Mattagami, where a mutual sharing of cultures was begun, and in some cases has carried on. We invite you to be part of this transformative learning event, that will leave you with a new and exciting experience.
