MCC Ontario continues to work with Aboriginal partners north and south on government reforms to the mining act. Aboriginal NeighboursStanding with First Peoples - engaging ourselves, listening to the stories and taking time to understand the history and culture of Aboriginal people in Ontario
When we choose to stand, we are making a statement; letting others know of the passion that moves us to align ourselves with a particular group of people who choose to speak out, and to 'act' for what they feel is right. This is one of the key ways MCCO works with Aboriginal partners, leading us to 'stand with' throughout the year, calling out to others about the need to make change, and to transform injustice into justice.
