Cycle Clear Lake

This year, Cycle Clear Lake will tackle thetrail encircling Clear Lake in Riding Mountain National Park counter-clockwise. Most of the 35 km trail is single track through boareal forest along the lakeshore. Riders will cross between Clear Lake and South Lake. Short portions of the trail will be pavement and gravel. The north shore has many fantastic vistas across the lake as the route goes up and down numerous ravines. The trail requires a reasonable amount of fitness and cycling experience. Average cyclists can expect to take 3-4 hours to do the circuit. The cycleathon begins Saturday, July 5 at 8:30 AM. Participants are welcome to camp at the group site on Friday and Saturday nights. How to Participate1. Register online or by completing a form, with the registration fee, and returing it to MCC along with a $25 cheque payable to "Cycle Clear Lake." A sponsor and information sheet will be forwarded as soon as we receive your registration and fee. 2. Raise pledges in support of the selected project. All riders raise a minimum of $150.00 in support. Collect the pledges in advance andsubmit them on or before the event. 3. Meet at Camp Kippechewin, the group campsite 7:30-8:30 AM, Saturday, July 5. 4. Enjoy the ride, rest stops, snacks, and the final barbeque at 12:30 PM at Camp Kippechewin.
