Responsibilities
- Offer the IVEP participant on-the-job training working about 40 hours per week in his/her vocation
- Accept him/her as a cultural visitor and apprentice rather than as "hired help"

Offer $80 U.S. or $110 Cdn. a month spending money to him/her

Allow $150 U.S. or $200 Cdn. a month to MCC for transportation, medical, and program costs in exchange for the visitor's work
- Provide a suggested $250 U.S. or $300 - 400 Cdn. a month to the hosts for room and board
- Allow him/her three work weeks of vacation during the year
- Serve as a bridge for the IVEP participant to the church
- Provide time and opportunity, particularly on weekends, to enable him/her to develop social and cultural contacts in addition to work experience
- Serve as liason with MCC
