September 25 eventPeacemaking dialogue: Building relationships with the Iranian people
MCC co-hosted a peacemaking dialogue that included President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran on the evening of Sept. 25 in New York City. It was MCC's fourth encounter with President Ahmadinejad since 2006, and a continuation of MCC's work since 1990 to build relationships with the Iranian people. MCC's primary goal in these meetings is to build bridges of peace and understanding between countries that are divided by animosity. The theme of the evening was "Has not one God created us?" which is taken from Malachi 2:10.
