Mennonite Piano Concerto with Audience Hymn Sing CD

Hymns have played an integral role in the Mennonite tradition, and a new CD has captured some of these core hymns in a wonderful live performance recording, woven together with narration by Todd Friesen.

The Mennonite Piano Concerto with Audience Hymn Sing includes eleven traditional hymns such as “Praise God, From Whom All Blessings Flow,” “Shall We Gather at the River” and "In the Rifted Rock I’m Resting.” The hymns are performed by the Wheaton College Concert Choir, Men’s Glee Club, Women’s Chorale and Lombard Mennonite Church Choir, along with the audience. The recording also includes Victor Davies' moving piano concerto, based on ten of the hymns on this CD. The concerto is performed on two pianos by Karin Redekopp Edwards and Mark Edwards.
