One of the orphans at the orphanage in Homs. SyriaHoms OrphanageSyrian Orthodox Church of St. Mary's, one of the oldest churches in Syria, is situated in the center of the city of Homs. Attached to the church is the Homs Orphanage, which is administered by the Association for the Poor. The orphanage ministers to Christian children who come from all over Syria. The current archbishop of Homs grew up in this orphanage. Global Family helps cover education costs for the children.
