MAMA Project
MAMA Project (Mujeres Amigas Millas
Aparte--Women Friends Miles Apart) began in
1987 and works as an institution of the
Honduran Evangelical Mennonite Church. From
the beginning, its vision was to build a "wall of
protection" around children who are born into
poverty, to help them not only survive, but also
develop their full potential. Global Family helps
MAMA support 6 preschools, 2 centers for
tutoring and student support, and 340 students
with educational scholarships.
