Miriam Imelda Education Center

Miriam Imelda Education Center is a preschool in Recife which aims to prepare children for the rigors of the Brazilian school system.

Many children in the poor areas of Recife come from dysfunctional families, and have not acquired some of the most basic developmental skills necessary to begin kindergarten. The staff at Miriam Imelda works to address these needs.

Through the Global Family Program, school supplies are purchased and one staff member's salary is paid.
