Hope Never Runs Dry
Hope Never Runs Dry is
an AIDS prevention outreach program to school
children in Kamuli district, east central Uganda.
In the last stages of AIDS, a parent isn’t able to
provide income and what money is left often
goes for treatment. Children drop out of school
to care for the infected parent; when the parent
dies, the child is rarely able to return to school
because she lacks money for basics like food and
clothing. Through Hope Never Runs Dry, Global Family
provides school supplies and uniforms to enable
200 orphans to attend primary school. Global
Family also pays tuition fees for 12 orphans
receiving technical or secondary education.Hope Never Runs Dry’s support groups for guardians encourage
nurture for these vulnerable students.
