Broader Horizons Institute
The Broader Horizons Institute was founded
in 1974 by a former MCC worker. Today,
Broader Horizons cares for more than 100
mentally disabled students. Broader Horizons
provides academic instruction as well as
vocational training. Money for the mentally
disabled is very scarce in Sudan. Therefore, the
operating costs of the school must be covered
from donors outside the country. Global Family
funds provide the students with a daily
nutritious lunch. *2008-09 fully sponsored.
