The Children’s Care Center is an educational
and care facility for children under 7 years old
from economically-depressed families in
Durban. It is run by the Union of Refugee
Women, a community-based organization of
refugee women mostly from Rwanda, Burundi
and Congo, who have been working with the
MCC Refugee Project in Durban since 2001.
Global Family helps pay fees for children
attending the Center, the salary for a qualified
preschool educator, provides nutritious food for
the children, training for staff, and covers
educational supplies.
