Remember the Poorest Community
An inter-church fellowship in Nazareth,
Ethiopia, formed Remember the Poorest
Community to respond to the growing
number of children living on the streets.
Their holistic ministry offers a range of
services, including “street children
reintegration and rehabilitation,” which
Global Family funds support. Some of their
other work includes HIV/AIDS prevention
and a care giving program. Global Family
supports 27 street children each year through
a one-year program cycle aimed at
reintegrating children back into the
community. These children attend a drop-in
center and receive education and training to
help them become self-supporting. *2008-09
