Politicians can support government policies and programs that help the poor and suffering. Violence and injustice are not inevitable but the result of choices that people make. MCC encourages Canadians to live peace as Jesus did. Staff and volunteers at MCC develop resources that help people decide which choices to make. Sometimes MCC alerts people to important issues or concerns and provides them with ways to respond. You can help build a more peaceful and just world by supporting these projects. $22 will help cover the cost and distribution of five Peace Sunday Packets, a practical resource for congregations and others $89 will help MCC produce a series of 30-second television public service announcements urging Canadians to join the "peaceful revolution" $443 will subsidize the cost of five students attending a seminar in Ottawa on faith and public policy If contributions to a project exceed the amount needed, MCC will use the donations to support similar projects. |
