Women and AIDS around the world

In 2001 the MCC magazine a Common Place featured a story about Mary Tumbo from Mogumu, Tanzania. At the time Mary was in despair about learning she had contracted AIDS. By October 2006, Mary has found new life and is living positively with AIDS. She has become a leader in her community in AIDS prevention. Her renewed spirit and vigor inspires her children and everyone in the community.
