Conflict and peacemaking in Uganda

photo of cattle herders
Karimojong boys herd their cattle at a watering hole near the town of Ituri. Northeastern Uganda is home to the Karimojong and Iteso ethnic groups. Both groups traditionally make a living by raising cattle. In addition to attacks by the Lord's Resistance Army, northeastern Uganda suffers from ongoing conflicts between the Karimojong and the Iteso.
