On the day of the first salt harvest since the tsunami destroyed the fields, two men tamp down mud to form a solid floor where salt will crystallize. MCC provided funding to assist partner agencies Bharat Environmenal Seva Team (BEST) and Henry Martyn Institute in their efforts to repair and restore these salt pans that provide livelihood to 40 families.
