Donáld Nganga,

Program Coordinator

Washington, DC Service Unit

The DC Service Unit provides service workers, speakers, material aid and other resources to local Mennonite churches and ministries in order to further peace and justice efforts. Unit members live in community together in the Trinidad neighborhood of northeast DC and a reference committee consisting of representatives from local churches guides the vision of the program. An ongoing activity is the Capital Area Anabaptist Network, a monthly brown bag lunch on various social justice topics. There are approximately fifteen Mennonite churches in the DC metropolitan                                     area. MCC East Coast also provides service workers to support the MCC US Washington Office in national advocacy work.
