Cruz Cordero,

Church Community Worker

Church Community Workers

The church community worker program is for persons from African-American, Native American, Asian American and Latino backgrounds who relate to Mennonite and Brethren in Christ Churches. The two year program allows them to serve in their home communities. Projects are developed by participants in consultation with their local church or organization. Churches interested in exploring the possibility of having a CCW serve in their communities should contact the MCC EC Office.

Cruz Cordero, is beginning to create a group of youth in the Kingdom Builders network who will use the arts to confront the culture of violence and bring a Christian message of Shalom. Some of his rap can be seen at http://www.myspace.com/cruzcordero32.
