 Find solutions to povertyShelter – A place to call homeGive the gift of shelter. MCC supports congregations and organizations reaching out to people who have lost their homes. MCC responded to the devastation of Cyclond Sidr in Bangladesh by helping to rebuild 1,820 houses. When the Zambezi River overflowed its banks, displacing thousands of people in Mozambique, MCC provided funds to purchase temporary housing materials such as plastic sheeting and wood poles.
$10 provides plastic sheeting and household supplies for one temporary shelter. $100 provides plastic sheeting and household supplies for 10 temporary shelters. If contributions to a project exceed the amount needed, MCC will use the donations to support similar projects. |
