Help us meet urgent needsGive the gift of hope to people in often forgotten places. When you give to “where needed most,” you ensure funds are available for MCC programs in places with needs that aren’t well-publicized. MCC spends more than $40 million annually on programs throughout the world, and has some 1,000 workers in 56 countries. The average cost for each worker is $16,600. Nearly $10 million in food assistance is provided and material goods valued at approximately $5 million are shipped annually. Your gift to “where needed most” provides flexibility for MCC to quickly provide basic necessities during war and natural disaster, to assist communities to discover their own solutions to chronic poverty and to help peace become a valued treasure in communities divided by conflict.
Your gifts at work: When you give $100 to “where needed most,” $29 is the average amount spent for programs in the US and Canada. $54 supports international programs, including relief efforts, projects to help families find solutions to poverty and initiatives to build peace and understanding in places facing conflict. $17 enables MCC to have the people and resources in place to do the work described in these projections. If contributions to a project exceed the amount needed, MCC will use the donations to support similar projects. |
