HIV and AIDS –Care for children

Give a gift to children whose lives are affected by HIV and AIDS. In countries such as Nepal, MCC provides orphans with schooling and basic health care. Through Ethiopia's Meserete Kristos Church, Meron Masrecha and her aunt received a small grant that they used to raise sheep to help pay Meron's school fees. In Ukraine, which has one of the highest HIV rates in Eastern Europe, abandoned youth, including many who are HIV-positive, receive food, medical care, shelter, job training and mentoring, clothing and schooling. MCC also extends support to adults who are caring for orphans.

 

If contributions to a project exceed the amount needed, MCC will use the donations to support similar projects.
