Peace Sunday is an annual opportunity to preach, teach and reflect upon the gospel of peace proclaimed and embodied by Jesus Christ. At a time of year when our nation honours military service, Peace Sunday reminds us of Jesus' call to love our enemies, to resist evil nonviolently, and to live as people of peace.
The Lord's Resistance Army rebel group has terrorized northern Uganda for more than 20 years. With support from MCC, Uganda's Concerned Parents Association is helping children, families and communities to recover from war.
MCC Lebanon works in partnership with dedicated partner organizations to support peacebuilding efforts, interfaith dialogue and education. Projects include peacemaking and conflict resolution workshops, rehabilitative services for people injured by cluster bombs and educational support for Palestinian and Sudanese refugees.
