This brief video tells the story of Siegfried Bartel, a German army captain in World War II. Bartel immigrated to Canada in the 1950s and settled in British Columbia. After some years, he repented of what he came to see as sin -- his participation in war. He became an outspoken advocate for Jesus' way of peace and nonviolence. He influenced many people, including his own granddaughter. Bartel served on the MCC Executive Committee for 12 years beginning in 1976.
