Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) is monitoring the situation in Japan following the powerful earthquake and subsequent tsunami that struck the island nation earlier today.
MCC and a partner, Indonesian Mennonite Diakonial Service, respond to needs of Indonesians displaced by eruptions of Mount Merapi and homeless because of flash flooding.
Livelihoods, homes and the health of unborn children and their mothers are threatened by flooding in Pakistan. Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) is using donations of nearly $700,000 to address these needs.
