Blooming Good Idea Training GuideRestorative Justice This training tool and teaching guide are an ideal resource for teaching the basic concepts and ideas of Restorative Justice in all kinds of learning environments. It provides a helpful multimedia visual that will give learners a concrete and visual image to relate the theory of Restorative Justice (RJ) to. It also provides the instructor with helpful suggestions, worksheets, and explains the elements of the resource.
There are many descriptions and expressions of Restorative Justice theory. A conglomeration of them has been used in the preparation of this animation. The image of a tree is not a new one to Restorative Justice. Aboriginal peoples use similar imagery for peace and Justice, as have other authors and Restorative Justice thinkers. As yet, though, none have applied it quite so thoroughly or broadly to the theory and concepts of Restorative Justice as this animation does. This training animation does some imagining about what a restorative system could look like and does not represent how things actually are right now.
