War in AfghanistanIn March -April 2008, MCC sent a letter to Mennonite and Brethren in Christ churches across Canada regarding Canada's military involvement in Afghanistan. The letter says that current military involvement, with a major focus on combat and counter-insurgency , is not helpful to the long-term peace and security of the people of Afghanistan. The letter encourages churches to pray for, witness to and speak out for a more peaceful way.
