Organization to Develop Our Villages (ODOV)

This is a Cambodian organization that grew from Mesang Integrated Development, a project implemented by MCC for nearly a decade. Today, community organizers work in five target villages, giving technical and management training to the village-elected leaders in health, agriculture and income generation. ODOV's small enterprise development program has helped villagers establish more than a dozen small businesses, including a bicycle repair shop, a fish hatchery and a noodle shop.

Phnom Penh Bible College (PPBC)

This College is the only non-denominational Bible School in Cambodia and enrolls an average of 75 students in their three-year program. The partnership with MCC started in November 2004 when the college began to include music electives in their curriculum. There are two music theory classes being taught as well as group piano and guitar lessons.

Prey Veng Irrigation Office (PVIO)

MCC has assisted PVIO for 15 years, including completing nine irrigations systems and two water pumping stations. As a result, more farmers have enough water to use in their rice fields. They have extended the area of cultivation and increased rice yield every year. The organization continues to work with farmers to develop small scale irrigation systems that are managed and maintained by the community; and to enhance food security through the rehabilitation of dams and existing irrigation systems. PVIO is also developing a system to organize farmers to share water during times of drought. MCC assists the organization in grant proposals and communications between potential donors and PVIO.

Returnee Integration Assistance Program (RISP)

This is a support network for returning Cambodians who were deported from the United States after they were convicted and served time for a felony. Many left Cambodia as children, lived in the United States for years and have little connection to contemporary Cambodia. MCC wishes to assist in restoring hope and dignity to people. RISP is the only organization addressing the issue of assisting returnees to integrate into Cambodian society.

Student leaders also conduct workshops in the community on issues from gangs to the environment. A student center provides a safe place for students to meet for discussions, prepare student initiatives, practice computer and team-building skills and explore creative arts such as drawing, music and dance.
