Help with Viewing and Downloading Files
Certain files available on the MCC Saskatchewan web site require
a specific program in order to view them. If you don't have such software installed
on your computer, you may download it from the links below.
Booklets, brochures and other print items are sometimes made available
as PDF's, which stands for "Portable Document Format". PDF's are designed
to look the same no matter which kind of computer is used to view them. Printing
them usually produces good results. PDF documents allow you to "zoom in"
and see good detail.
Download
the free Adobe Acrobat Reader here
to view PDF files. Available for Windows, Linux, Mac, Palm and others.
Presentations and slide shows used for meetings, reports and conferences
are sometimes made available on this web site. You may encounter them in one
of three different ways:
- Converted to web pages - You don't need anything special to view
these. Simply click on the link and see the presentation as a set of web pages.
One example is the presentation from the 2002 Annual General Meeting, which
you can see here.
- Corel Presentation - If the complete presentation is made available,
which includes all animations and effects, the file name will end with .exe
and you will have to download the file and then double-click on it to
run it from your own computer. This works only in Windows. (Please NOTE: NEVER
run a .exe file you downloaded from the internet if you don't have
anti-virus software installed.)
- Powerpoint Presentation - These are very similar to Corel Presentations.
To view a Powerpoint Presentation you must download the free Powerpoint
viewer program here
(Windows only)
