MCC helps blind tsunami survivors learn massageOctober 11, 2005
MCC funds are helping 30 blind people in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, learn therapeutic massage. The Dec. 26, 2004, tsunami devastated Banda Aceh, and people with pre-existing handicaps have struggled to support themselves in the tsunami's aftermath. MCC is providing $14,000 Cdn./$11,400 U.S. to a partner organization, Foundation for Community Empowerment, to implement the project. |
