Dedications:
For Alana Fife and Hannah Showaker. Alana and Hannah were killed tragically on January 22, 2003 in a flash flood not far from the city of Salatiga, Java, Indonesia, while serving with MCC. Both young women were strongly committed to "serving in the name of Christ", and allowed their lives to be profoundly impacted by the people around them, who they lived with, worked with, and loved. In their loss, Alana and Hannah have impacted us profoundly, and have shown us the importance of allowing ourselves to be open to and respond to the needs of those around us.
Their light shines. ~ Kim Thiessen
