InterMennonite Good Friday Service in Calgary raises $19,843.25 offering for AfghanistanThank you so much to all those who contributed to the offering. MCC, through its Global Family program, is partnering with Help the Afghan Children, a U.S.-based non-profit organization that cooperates with the Ministry of Education of Afghanistan to give children the basic education they have been long been denied due to decades of war, disaster and infrastructure collapse. MCC supports computer education, peace and educational programs in 5 schools, as well as operational and program support for Abdulla Bin Omar Primary School (in Paghman District, Kabul Province). Your offering will be used to help expand these programs and add to the already large number of children whose lives have been positively changed by the project- HTAC currently runs 9 model schools that work with over 15,000 children. In the midst of darkness and suffering, we work with the Afghan people for the coming of light. Click Here to Learn More About HTAC
