There is currently no cure for HIV/AIDS, though there are a number of factors that can help prolong the life of a person with HIV or AIDS.
The most significant life-enhancing element for an HIV/AIDS patient is the use of anti-retroviral drugs. Unfortunately, the expense of these drugs makes them unavailable to the majority of HIV/AIDS patients worldwide.
Other factors such as adequate health care, nutrition, sanitation, a positive attitude and community support can also lead to prolonged life.
